Privacy, accuracy and how TruCareer works, answered plainly.
How accurate is the salary and interview data on TruCareer?
Every report comes from someone who did the job, and it’s checked before it counts. Each salary range shows how many people it’s based on and a confidence label, so you always know how much to trust it. Thin data is labelled, never hidden.
How does TruCareer verify salary and interview reports?
Before a report counts, we check it. Salaries far outside the usual range for that role, duplicate entries and spam are held back and removed. We don’t publish the exact rules, so nobody can game them.
How recent is the salary and interview data?
Every report shows the month it was shared. When most of a range comes from older reports, we say so next to the number, so recent changes aren’t hidden.
Can my employer find out I shared my salary?
No. We never ask for your name, email or phone number, and we never show who shared a report. A salary only appears once enough people at that company and role have shared, so one entry doesn’t stand out.
What if a salary or interview report looks wrong to me?
Tap “Not quite” under any salary range to flag it. The fastest fix is to add the figure you know. Every new report pulls the range closer to reality.
Can I edit or delete a report after I submit it?
Reports can’t be edited after you submit them, because we don’t store who sent them. If you made a mistake, contact us with the company, role and roughly when you submitted, and we’ll review it.
Do you ever sell or share the data you collect?
We never sell or share individual reports. We only publish combined figures, like the ranges you see on this site.
How many people need to share before a number shows up?
A salary range appears once at least 3 people have shared for that company and role. Until then, you’ll see how many more entries are needed.
Are salary figures monthly, annual, gross, or take-home?
All salaries are monthly, in taka, before tax (gross). Festival bonuses are not included.
What exactly do I need to share — is it just a number?
For a salary: the company, your role, your years of experience and your monthly pay. For an interview: the company, the role, the rounds and the questions you remember. No name or email.
Do I need to create an account to browse or to share?
No. You can browse and share without an account.
Is everything on TruCareer free to browse?
Yes. Every salary and interview report is free to browse.
Is TruCareer only for tech jobs?
No. TruCareer covers banking, telecom, fintech, RMG, pharma, e-commerce, education and IT roles. New companies and roles are added as people share.
How is TruCareer different from Facebook groups, salary posts or other platforms I’ve seen online?
A Facebook post is one person’s claim that nobody can check, and it’s buried within a day. On TruCareer, reports are checked, searchable by company and role, and every number shows how many people it’s based on. And we cover interviews, not just salaries.
Why should I bother sharing mine?
Because the number you’ll negotiate with next came from someone who shared theirs. It takes about a minute, and nobody will know it was you.
